Lesson 8

HOW
TO APPROACH READING OF A HOROSCOPE
I am sharing my method.
1.
See the horoscope and form your impressions.
2.
See quickly the dashas from birth to the present time.
3.
Now see the present dashas upto three levels, maha, antar
and pratyantara.
4.
See how Jupiter and Saturn are transiting from Lagna at present.
IMPORTANT
PRINCIPLES
1.Desha
you must keep in mind the background of the country to which
a person belongs and interpret a horoscope against that background.
2.Kaal
or time means when you are seeing a horoscope in twenty first
century, you cannot apply the principles of middle ages given
in books. For example, sixty years ago Indian women did not
come out of their homes to go to a work at different places.
Now they do it and therefore interpret their horoscopes as
you will interpret the horoscopes of males.
3.Paatra:Here
you must have the personal background of the person for whom
you are predicting. If he is an important political leader,
achievement here means his coming into a big cabinet position.
If he
is a government servant, achievement means a big promotion.
If he
is a businessman, it is big profit.
If he
is a scientist, it is a discovery or invention.
So according
to personal background, the interpretation can be skillful
only if the astrologer has the ability to weigh the pros and
cons of a situation and person. Parashara insists on this
and calls it uha-poha-patu
FORMING
YOUR IMPRESSIONS ABOUT A HOROSCOPE IS THE FIRST STEP
This
is static analysis of the horoscope. PAC
DARES
Then
come the dynamic analysis of the horoscope, which will, show
how change of dasha changes.
Always
remember that no horoscope is correct fully because no one
notes down birth time correctly.
To solve
the problem, ask some question, mainly biological facts because
they do not change.
My
Approach
Ms.K's
case: The fifth lord Sun is in the eight houses, which shows
obstructions to studies.
Ms.S's
case: Fifth lord, Saturn is with Jupiter, which shows interest
in study of religion, literature, classical subjects. It is
more so because it is in the house of Jupiter also. Jupiter
is also management and banking in modern times, so it will
create interest in these subjects also.
But there
is exalted Mars in the fifth house which shows technical subjects
like engineering etc. It is more so because it is in the house
of Saturn, which also gives technical subjects.
Mr.M's
case: Fifth lord Saturn is with Sun and Rahu in the house
of Jupiter which shows semi-technical subjects but inclining
towards arts because Jupiter is predominantly arts.
But the
fifth house has two benefics, Mercury and Venus aspected by
Jupiter, which shows interest in astrology (Mercury) social
sciences (Venus) and literature and religion (Jupiter).
You must
remember that a man keep on studying many subjects all his
life, some formally in educational institutions and some depending
his own interests created from time to time.
